Alla Bua, from the Salento in southern Italy, Live in Cavallino, 1 July, 2018

This group is formed by musicians from around the Salento (southern Puglia), south of Lecce. The name is comes from a dialect expression meaning "another way", or "alternative medicine" which could evolve from the traditional musical cure, the pizzica or tarantela, which was a sort of exorcism to expel the trance state induced by the bite of local tarantulas. In any case, the music is very traditional and lively, and draws from contemporary influences as well...like the musical quote from Pink Floyd about 2/3rds of the way in. Enjoy!
