01/24/21 Words hold great power, as stated in Proverbs and the teachings of Jesus. Jesus, the Word made flesh, is the ultimate source of power. Believers are encouraged to speak and pray in alignment with God's Word for effective results. The Bible, though powerful, requires our engagement and faith to produce outcomes. Praying according to God's will and using scripture in prayers amplifies their impact. Confidence in God, faith in His Word, and declaring His promises are essential for effective prayers. Believers should recognize Jesus as the source, elevate their words to match His Word, and implement a prayer plan for a fruitful spiritual life. Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21 NKJV) ...you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth. (Proverbs 6:2 NIV) Jesus is the source of power. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1 NIV) There’s nobody more powerful to learn from, quote, and use his name than Jesus ...take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. We elevate the power of our words when we say what God says, in Jesus name. We need to know God before we will have consistent, effective prayers. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
