Ohhhhh boy.... Going straight from a video where I "took the babies away" and into this heated discussion... Once upon a time, I had horned goats. I didn't know anything different. Until I realized that sharp goat horns and little kids just really don't mix well. After several CLOSE calls with horns to the face, I realized that the very few benefits were not enough to convince me that the safety risk would be worth leaving horns intact. This is for us personally...obviously I acknowledge that not every situation is the same! There are some cases where goats need their horns to protect themselves from predators and keep them cool in hot areas. I hope the comments section remains respectful to other's opinions!
