I Love You I'm Sorry - Mel Bryant & The Mercy Makers (Tiny Desk Contest Submission 2020)

A live in-studio performance of our latest single for this year's Tiny Desk Contest. Our band is fortunate enough to live in the same house so we're sticking out our social distancing orders together, and figuring now's as good a time as ever to share some tunes while we're all bored out of our minds. "I Love You I'm Sorry" is a journey in the trials of not knowing how to say what you want without apologizing for it. It's a practice in release; of old trauma, youthful mistakes and the miseducation of love relationships that held you back for years. It's a testament and a confession, in all its emo-fueled glory. It follows our debut single “In My Head” which premiered on Nashville’s top indie music station, Lightning 100, and garnered acclaim in the 2018 NewSong International Songwriting Competition. Our next single, a self-love soliloquy called "Memphis", will be released on April 2nd.
