Through his search, he discovered the Quran's acknowledgment of Jesus as the Word of God, Spirit of God, and Messiah, as well as its promotion of the authenticity of the Bible. Embracing the teachings of Jesus, James found hope and purpose, particularly in John 14:6, where Jesus declares himself as the way, the truth, and the life.
