For more than half a century, Judith Greavu has been creating dynamic sculptures that not only reflect the world around her but that also express a singular view. Emerging in a world where female sculptors were told to make way for their male counterparts, Judith went on to become an artist without limits and a teacher who's guided many other budding sculptors. Judith and her husband, Bruce, live between a forest and a cornfield just outside Bluffton, Ohio and it's there where Judith continues to make graceful works using lots of hardware and the natural inspiration that surrounds her. But she also draws creative breath from a legacy long buried in the lands around her that reveals a history of sculpting has existed for centuries in her neck of the woods.
