The Community Showcase was the host of numerous side brackets at Evo 2023, the premiere offline major in Las Vegas, NV, USA from August 4th to August 6th, 2023. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax was one of the 18 tournaments that took place over the weekend thanks in part to community efforts from 956Productions, and Montreal local and PFC/P4U2 Community Co-Leader, Diosama. Lots of people found it more convenient and overall better to play in this way than to use the PS3 version. Over time, it became a big community of people who not only like to play Persona, but also just to hang out and socialize. This exploded with the announcement of P4U2 on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch natively. The PFC discord is now over 10,000 members in size, and the need for cloud PCs is gone, especially with Rollback Netcode as a factor.
