A little job for a wet Sunday on the Royal Enfield Greenlaner's rear shocks top mounting bushes.

I totally missed this one when I fitted these rear shocks not so long ago, but the rubber bushes at the tops and bottoms of the shocks had plastic sleeves inside them, where studs or bolts pass through them. That's fine if the rear shocks fit over studs, with threads which stop short of a larger diameter shoulder, but not so good when they have to fit inside a pair of forked lugs, as found at the top mounts on this machine. Needless to say, my rear mudguard stays worked loose a couple of times while taking part in some fairly demanding green laning, and I soon realized why. Here, I discuss a rather obvious and very welcome fix, which should make this particular problem a thing of the past.
