“Mirage” is a song that reflects my feelings when I went through part of the second part of my grief. When you are missing the figure of the loved one, in this case, my sister. I had a sensation of void and powerlessness. Usually, when talking with my friends and family, I used to exemplify it with a scene where you are incredibly thirsty and a glass of fresh water behind a window waiting for you. Still, you are not able to get the drink in any way. At that point in the path, the memories, even helping me to feel a bit better for all the good things lived together, felt like a mirage that suddenly evaporates, and you come back to reality. Irene used to write songs and play beautifully the guitar. And I thought it would be nice to dedicate the only song I’ve sung on this album to her. I hope you enjoy it. ______ “Onyria" is my third studio album. But also a poem of love to my little sister Irene, the most wonderful person I've ever known, that left this world in 2018 just a few months after the release of "Immortalys." It is also a personal chronicle of these last four years and my journey over those times. With its lights and shadows, highs and lows, going from her loss, throughout grief, to the acceptance and final resilience state, I've tried to render this homage as beautifully and poetically as I could.
