The X26 is a vey capable backroad traveler. Has no problem handling fields and unpaved roads and paths. I was skeptical about a "folder bike" being able to handle the rough terrain out here but have seen no structural issues with it at all. I will probably replace the pedals since I don't intend to fold it up.
