Should you test your embryos? Every decision can be so heavy when navigating IVF, and this is such a personal decision. I can only speak from my experience in which I navigated PGT-A (Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidies) or PGS (Preimplantation Genetic Screening) during my 5th IVF egg retrieval. Hopefully, my story will shed some light. In this video, I share the 'who, what, when, how much, and why' for PGT-A at my hospital. I also share the timeline for getting PGT for your embryos. Mostly, I share my very personal experience in how I came to my sudden decision to test my embryos during this round, and my thought process through it all. Whether PGT is practical or not in IVF is a huge topic of debate among fertility doctors in recent years due to findings that PGT-abnormal embryos can potentially self-correct.
