Tune of the Week #4 - Scrapple from the Apple by Charlie Parker

The Bridge is an open B section from I Got Rhythm. It's called a rhythm tune and it's use of syncopation in the "head" represents the transition from swing to bebop. This video shows how to use these new rhythms in devloping progressive jazz vocabulary and Pentatonic Pairs are introduced and developed in the bridge.
