While the Sega Master System experienced a rather tragic(and unfair) run in the US, I still have some fond memories of playing it with friends. That first year it was on the market brought with it some really fun titles, and we take a look at a bunch of them here. I'm now on Patreon! Music- Opening Monologue is from Super Hang-On. Closing Monologue is from Shinobi. 2. All games captured on a Mega SG with the exception of Snail Maze. I used an emulator for that. 3. There was also 2 light gun releases in that first year. Safari Hunt and Marksman Shooting & Trap Shooting. I didn't play them early in the systems life so I didn;t include them here. I can't play them on my capture setup, anyway. 4. The Ninja really is hard. No joke. 5. The Master System started showing up in stores during the summer of 1986. I think my buddy Rob got his in October that year. 6. I was eventually exposed to Master System 3D gaming, which was something I'll never forget. That stereoscopic effect was incredible at the time. 7. The Master System would go on to have one of the best light gun libraries ever. They dominate my later memories of the platform.
