Da 50 anni Tomaso Meloni e la sua comunità portano avanti un visionario progetto di vita completamente ecosostenibile nella bellissima Sardegna sudorientale. Case autocostruite di legno e di pietra, energia 100% solare e acqua di pozzo, orto ispirato ai principi della biodinamica, in una terra recuperata dopo un incendio che l’aveva devastata. Pionieri di ciò che in tanti oggi cercano di realizzare. Oggi Tomaso ha quasi 80 anni e con la sua compagna Kat (insieme dal 1980), continua a lavorare ogni mattina alle strutture della comunità, alle asine e all’orto. La comunità oggi accoglie woofers e chi voglia dedicarsi a vivere in armonia con la natura e gli altri. Con la sua estrema coerenza e il suo non scendere a compromessi (si continua a non avere allacci alla rete pubblica, a ricavare la maggior parte degli alimenti freschi dall’autoproduzione o dagli scambi, e a praticare la medicina naturale), continua a rappresentare un esemplare modello di vita fuori dal sistema che, pur esistendo da ben 50 anni, è avanguardia. Ora per continuare hanno bisogno di te! ---- For the last 50 years, Tomaso Meloni, with others, have carried out a visionary project of eco sustainable community life in the south east of the beautiful Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Wooden and stone houses, 100% solar energy, well water, a garden inspired by biodynamic principles and reforestation on land which had been devastated by fire makes them pioneers in what so many would like to realize today. Today Tomaso is almost 80 and together with his partner since 1980, Kat, they continue to work in the garden, planting trees and taking care of their donkeys, dogs and cats. They are still sharing their way of life with others who want to live in harmony with nature and other people. They are also members of Wwoof Italia, an association which puts volunteers in contact with organic farms. Faithful to their original values, they live off the grid, producing or exchanging much of their food , practicing natural medicine as much as possible and represent an example of a life style out of the system which although it has existed for 50 years is still avant-gard.
