Starting the Enfield Diesel at -1,5°C can be difficult. you can do the following tricks: add lighter fluid to the intake air (NOT eather-based liquids like the "quick start-spray", this may ruin your diesel engine, as it has a much higher flash point, and should only be used by petrol engines!!!). 2.) Change the engine Oil from 20W40 (summer oil) to 15W30 (normal oil) or 10W30 when under zero. 3.) it is possible to add oil to the air intake, this will increase the compression, however large amounts of smoke will appear when the engine starts. 4.) Add 15% Petrol to fuel tank, only do this under freezing temperatures. 5.) Warm the intake air, this is difficult, but the most effective thing to do. Keep in mind that when running at freezing temperatures the engine oil SHOULD UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES be changed twice as often as under normal conditions. I know very few people do this, but oil you can buy at any fuel station, but a new motor you can t !!!
