Just over four years ago, "Uncle Ben" Christie was a senior at Baylor University studying professional selling and had a job lined up at Oracle in Austin. Now, he runs ‪@TheUrbanRescueRanch‬, a farm sanctuary and wildlife rescue in Waco with dozens of wild animals ranging from kangaroos to emus to capybaras. Online, he creates half-comedic, half-educational videos featuring the different animals on the farm. He has amassed millions of followers and hundreds of millions of views across his TikTok, YouTube and Instagram pages, and is continuing to grow both his following and his rescue capabilities.
