Hogenakkal is one of the most beautiful places situated in Tamil Nadu on the Kaveri river in the Dharmapuri District. Hogenakkal waterfalls is the main attraction here and it is often referred to as the Niagra falls of India. This waterfall has been shooting location for many malayalam movies like Naran. You can experience a Coracle ride and an amazing view of hills and rivers. The road to hogenakkal is very smooth and enjoyable as the scenic beauty is mesmerizing. The coracle ride is of the major attraction in this place but please check if it is open because at some time the government closes the coracle ride because of high current in the water and it could be for months. But don’t get disappointed as the locals will take you near the falls from a different route which is worth the trip.
