TET UK - The James Higgs Trail on an Adventure Bike (Yamaha T7)

A daily diary of an 8 day trip on Britains Great Western Trail. 1,200km of excellent views, climbs and descents in Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. Mapped out by James Higgs, the UK TET linesman, who has done an amazing job. 0:00 - Intro 0:17 - Day 1 - Salisbury to Exeter 3:17 - Day 2 - Exeter to Tavistock 10:54 - Day 3 - Tavistock to Truro 13:52 - Day 4 - Truro to Perranporth 19:26 - Day 5 - Perranporth to Okehampton 22:21 - Day 6 - Okehampton to Chard 29:45 - Day 7 - Chard to Corsham 35:23 - Day 8 - Corsham to Salisbury Accommodation: Day 1 - Exeter: Buckerell Lodge Hotel (approx 1 min north of the TET road into Exeter) bike parking in a pretty secluded car park. Breakfast included. Day 2 - Tavistock: Lobhill Farmhouse BNB, Okehampton (approx 10-15 mins ride north from Tavistock, a lovely host + venue!). Breakfast included. Day 3 - Truro: The Victoria Inn, Truro. Nice enough place, great food, bike parking in the back. About 5 minutes off the TET. Breakfast included. Day 4 - Perranporth: Flat Rocks, Perranporth. Literally ON the TET road, amazing place, secure bike parking behind coded fence. No breakfast but there's a CO-OP opposite you, blessing! Day 5 - Okehampton: The Malt Scoop Inn. About 10 mins off the TET, lovely owner and dog named Devon, chucked bikes around the back of a fence. Breakfast included. Day 6 - Chard: Shave Farm, Chard. This place was phenomenal, awesome host + food + secluded farm. Breakfast included (bloody good and all) Day 7 - Corsham: The Methuen Arms.. rewarded myself in a 5 star place, it wasn't actually all that though, I recommend any self catered BNB with a microwave etc.. secure bike parking though. No breakfast.
