Hugh Jackman gives one of his most emotional performances since The Fountain. Jake Gyllenhaal’s Detective Loki is my favourite character in the film and his relationship with Keller creates incredible tension and suspense. Prisoners gave me one of the most intense cinema going experiences and I knew I had witnessed something amazing. I was so pleased when researching the film how much meaning and intentional information is layered throughout this film. Goes to show how talented and confident Denis Villeneuve is as a director.
