This is the eleventh in a new series of videos, providing advice, suggestions, and information for students and lifelong learners intending to engage in self-directed study of the 18th century Scottish Empiricist philosopher, historian, and essayist David Hume. I discuss why Hume's works would be useful, important, and worthwhile to study. I also suggest which of the works of Hume would be best to start with, and what other works you might move on to after those. There are motivations and methods important for understanding Hume and I discuss keeping those in mind as you engage in study.
