Then I learned that my friend and Stridewise writer Tim Steiner, a.k.a. ‪@HemingwayJones‬, has a pair — and this is a man who knows his way around quality footwear. Golden Fox's 6-inch Boondocker Service Boots have an interesting reputation as the cheapest not terrible boot. What does that mean? Well, it's Goodyear welted, made of solid leather, and it's pretty darn comfortable.
