This flight was an upgrade from United's Economy Plus. Seats - 3/5 : While comfortable with good amount of legroom, seat shows signs of wear and tear after years of service. A note that First Class seats in row 5 have two thirds the recline of rows 1-4. Service - 5/5 : The cabin crew on this flight were on their toes. Service was quick and professional, often checking in on passengers and their needs. Food - 4/5 : To be honest, I was not at all expecting a meal on this flight. This was the first time I had actual food on a domestic flight on a U.S carrier. Surprising, since this flight was only about 3hrs 30min. Only complaint would be that the food was over seasoned. They went way overboard on lemon juice. IFE - 2/5 : I was looking forward to getting free Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, it was not available on this flight. If you don't bring any entertainment, you are stuck with Live TV and inflight literature. Score: 70% United First Class's dated cabin and lackluster in-flight entertainment is made up for with excellent service and a satisfying meal.
