Great Beginnings: Embouchure Flexibility Lesson 6 The ability to play both low and high notes of the flute head joint is the foundation to great flute playing. Students who learn how to play with flexibility right from the beginning consistently excel over those who only begin with low notes. After mastering this exercise we recommend continuing your flute studies with either the Blocki Flute Method Book 1 or the Flute Zoo series. Both of these methods continue to lay the foundation for embouchure flexibility and playing in both the low and high octaves.
