King's Lynn Super Stars (1965-90) DVD Trailer

Please check out this eight-minute preview of our extensive six-hour look back at the first 25 years of King's Lynn Speedway through the eyes and minds of some of the key men who helped to establish the Norfolk club from its humble origins in May 1965 and shape its early history. In this must-have, triple disc set for all serious fans of the Lynn 'Stars', we present new and exclusive interviews with their all-time great TERRY BETTS, plus England internationals MALCOLM SIMMONS (recorded two years before his sad death in May 2014), MICHAEL LEE and MARK LORAM. We also hear from local favourites IAN TURNER and 'hard man' CLIVE FEATHERBY. And from the other side of the fence, founding co-promoter and track builder CYRIL CRANE (who also rode for the Stars in their early days) and respected former general manager and promoter MARTIN ROGERS add their fascinating insights into what really happened during their many years running speedway at Saddlebow Road. There are also audio interviews with Lynn stars of the 80s, DAVE JESSUP, JOHN LOUIS and GORDON KENNETT. There are tributes to Maurice Littlechild, the genial promoter who (with Crane) launched speedway racing at King's Lynn, along with his son, Alan, who served the club as team manager for more than a decade. All the major issues, on and off the track, are tackled head-on here in a series of candid, no-holds barred interviews, which complement the race action footage superbly. The DVD also includes previously unpublished still photographs, team groups, action and portraits of those who wore the famous gold & green colours.
