Walking tour of the historic Mission Ranch Hotel & Restaurant. This 22-acre ranch is located at 26270 Dolores Street, in beautiful Carmel, CA. They can be reached at 800.538.8221. Clint Eastwood purchased the ranch in 1986, and he restored the 10 unique buildings to encompass the original architectural style. Actually, the original 160-acre ranch was one of the first California dairies--a lot of history to learn here. There are 31 hotel rooms within the 10 buildings, and there is a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Talk about being nestled in the bosom of nature--the scenery here is truly breathtaking, and even if you don't stay in one of the rooms, it is worth an afternoon trip just to soak in the views of the old trees, the Pacific Ocean, Point Lobos, and the grazing resident sheep in the meadow. Although Daisy will not be able to stay at the hotel because of their no-pet policy, she was happy to stroll the beautiful 22 acres. So many sheepies and micies around to sniff out. She loved her afternoon strolling around the Mission Ranch--MEOW.
