A review for Dog Bone Game Recovery System training aid. 4 month old bloodhound Indiana does an approximate 500-600 yd track using the provided deer hide and 20 drops of training scent (made with real deer blood and other fluids/scents you will come across during a real recovery). I use VERY little of the liquid scent provided in the kit. I dragged and bounced the deer hide drag to simulate a wounded/jumping deer. I added a drop of fluid directly to the hide at various times over the entire length of the track. Dogs recover deer and other game by following various scents/ blood, stomach contents, liver, other body fluids, hide, hair, hoof gland scent. NOT just blood. This is a common misconception with tracking dogs/ bloodhounds. If you had a large blood trail, you wouldn't need the dog to find the deer for you, right? I use a variety of training aids to create mock wounded deer trails, but recently added this product to my training. It is Available at Cabelas and online at www.dogbonehunter.com. I recommend it!!!
