Brief psychosis can occur with Paranoid Personality Disorder, which can make diagnosing this disorder more difficult due to association of psychosis with Schizophrenia, Major Depressive Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder. Disorders that are comorbid with Paranoid Personality Disorder include Major Depressive Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Substance Use Disorder, Agoraphobia, Schizoid Personality Disorder, Schizotypal Personality Disorder, Avoidant Personality Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder. The prevalence of Paranoid Personality Disorder in the population is about 2% - 4%.
