I Ran 4 miles EVERY 4 HOURS for 2 DAYS - The Goggins Challenge 4x4x48 + Training Tips

I ran the David Goggins Challenge 4x4x48 - running 4 miles EVERY 4 HOURS for 2 DAYS (48 miles). As an experienced ultra runner, I want to provide training tips to help you succeed in this Goggins Challenge 4x4x48 and help you increase your mental toughness and discipline. Curious about the trail running gear I use and recommend: check out this link https://linktr.ee/runningwithsimon First proposed in 2020 as everyone was getting cabin fever. David Goggins proposed people to go out and run 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours. It was a tool to help build mental toughness, resilience, and discipline. Although there are no fixed date, it's usually done in March. The Goggins Challenge, or the 4x4x48 Challenge, is at its core both a mental toughness, and long distance running challenge. It's a tool to help you develop mental toughness and discipline. Something that will help you beyond running itself. To help you not get complacent and lazy. Physically, if you run ultra marathon like I do, this isn't that difficult. I would say - in terms of fitness - it's similar to running 50k. But at the same time, you need strong mental toughness to keep going during the challenge - and if I had to choose, I would prefer running 50 miles straight and get my night. I had done it in the past and felt now was a good to repeat, as I felt a bit rusty. I still race 100 miles ultra marathon every month, so I know I have the fitness. But my training hasn't been ideal for a while. I also figured it'd be a great opportunity to share how I would approach myself such challenge to help you be successful. Next is Antelope Canyon 100 miles on March 9-10. Nora will also be racing the 50 miles - stay tuned! As always, thanks for watching!
