Production isn't production without an external monitor. Why? Because the camera display is typically cluttered with things like focus assist or false colors. Plus, external monitors are much brighter than camera displays. And yet another reason? Lookup tables! If you're shooting RAW the footage doesn't look that great in camera. An external monitor with a LUT allows you to see what the footage will look like later, which helps with creativity on set. This video shows how to use the PortKeys LH5P stand alone, and also with the Black Magic Pocket Cinema cameras. You can control your camera from the PortKeys monitor via bluetooth.
