The Thales turnkey rail project includes: - train control with ETCS L2 (European Train Control System Level 2) - route control with interlockings - field elements to increase safety along the route - an operation control centre (OCC) for traffic management with ARAMIS, security & trains supervision (power supply, diesel generators, etc.) - communications for train control (GSM-R), security & passenger information, - rolling stock management Saudi Arabian railways are now being equipped with the latest technologies for train signaling, ensuring safety and operational efficiency. As for instance, ETCS L2 is the latest Train control technology for mainlines, it allows the reduction of wayside signaling elements and it optimizes the system lifecycle cost.
