Story Summary :- A week after OP’s Dad, her stepbrother called her and told her that their late father left everything to him and insisted that OP could just communicate with his lawyer. After a series of meet-ups with his stepbrother’s lawyer and the inheritance lawyer, OP found out that 90% of the inheritance was left to her and only 10% to her stepbrother. OP’s stepbrother didn’t believe her at first, but eventually, he did, after OP proved it to him Apparently, the stepbrother thought that the name, Elizabeth, written on the will was pertaining to their late sister, Elena. Liam thought Elena was just a nickname for Elizabeth because he has known OP by the name Elle all his life. And in any case “Elizabeth” is not alive, the entire inheritance goes to the stepbrother, with 10% going to charity, that’s why he thought he inherited everything. Stepbrother begged OP to help him pay for the mortgage of the mansion he just bought but OP refused. Because of this, the stepbrother tried to sue OP for false representation. After that, OP’s stepmother and stepbrother did what they could to get money from OP. They tried to manipulate OP into giving them half of what she would receive. And since that didn’t work, they went to the lengths of falsifying debts that OP’s Dad incurred. OP decided to take it to court, and in the end, OP won the case. It was proven that they indeed fabricated the debts. During the lengthy legal proceedings, the stepmother confessed to the crime and that she was the mastermind and his son had nothing to do with it.
