Huan Tsang's account on The Nagas.

Huan Tsang, also known as Xuanzang, was a Chinese Buddhist monk, scholar, and traveler who lived during the Tang Dynasty in 7th Century. He is famous for his extensive writings on his travels, including his accounts of the Naga people. Huan Tsang wrote about the Nagas in his travelogue, the "Great Tang Records on the Western Regions," where he described them as a fierce and powerful people who were skilled in both warfare and magic. He noted that the Nagas had a complex social hierarchy, and were mostly organized into clans, each ruled by a powerful leader. He also noted that some tribes were ruled by kings and others by queens. He noted the Naga people's religious practices, which included the worship of snakes and other creatures. He described their society as being rich in cultural and artistic traditions, with a strong emphasis on metalwork, weaving, and agriculture. He also noted their skills in metalworking and weaving and their agricultural prowess, which allowed them to thrive in the challenging mountainous environment.
