The English Beat (a.k.a. The Beat) perform "Get A Job"/"Stand Down Margaret" live at the US Music Festival in San Bernardino in 1982. "Get A Job" is the fifth track on the second side of the 1981 album "Wha'ppen?". "Stand Down Margaret" was featured as the second track on the second side of their 1980 album "I Just Can't Stop It". The English Beat was one of two bands that played the US Festival both years (1982 &1983) the other band being Oingo Boingo. The English Beat are a 2 Tone ska revival band founded in Birmingham, England in 1978. Their songs fuse ska, pop, soul, reggae and punk rock, and their lyrics deal with themes of love, unity and sociopolitical topics.
