Nottingham's golden ice dance legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have marked the 40th anniversary of their Olympic success by announcing their retirement from skating - but not before one last 'celebratory' tour in 2025. Jayne, a former insurance office worker, and Chris, an ex-police officer, won the nation's hearts when they wrote their names into British sporting history, scoring perfect sixes for their hypnotic routine to Ravel's Bolero at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. Forty years on from their Valentine’s Day performance, they have returned to Sarajevo to celebrate the day with the city, where they confirmed they will be leaving the sport after a UK tour next year. Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance will include dates in London, Belfast, Newcastle, Glasgow and, obviously their home city, Nottingham, at the Motorpoint Arena, the home of the National Ice Arena.
