Hierarchy: Netflix's New Drama Exposes Scandal and Power at an Elite School

Netflix is set to release its original series "Hierarchy," a story interwoven with youthful love and friendship, revenge, and compassion. Set at Jushin High School, where the top 0.01% of elite students gather, this place may appear glamorous and perfect on the surface, but beneath it lies a strict hierarchical society with complex human relationships. Directed by 'Bae Hyun-jin', "Hierarchy" stars rising actors 'Roh Jeong-eui', 'Lee Chae-min', 'Kim Jae-won', 'Ji Hye-won', and 'Lee Won-jung', drawing significant attention. The drama centers around the class conflicts experienced by the top 0.01% of students and the growth of each character. Director 'Bae Hyun-jin' described the work as "not just a typical school drama but one that deeply explores growth and human relationships." 'Roh Jeong-eui' plays the protagonist, known as the Queen of Jushin High. She expressed her excitement about taking on this role, saying, "I’m very happy to have this role. While the title of 'Queen of Queens' is quite daunting, it made me want to perform even better." 'Lee Chae-min', taking on his first lead role, shared the sense of responsibility he felt. "I was very nervous since it’s my first lead role, but thanks to the trust of my fellow actors and the director, I was able to do well," he said. 'Kim Jae-won' portrays a member of the top 0.01% elite family. He joked, "I play a chaebol, so there was no reason not to take this role." 'Ji Hye-won', who plays the villain, said she had no fear of being disliked for her character. 'Lee Won-jung' added, "I trusted in myself and participated in 'Hierarchy.' We filmed with great passion." "Hierarchy" is more than just a high-teen drama. It incorporates elements of sports, romance, and genres, offering a variety of entertainment. Director Bae emphasized, "This work is not about sensationalism in a school setting but focuses on growth." Through "Hierarchy," Netflix plans to showcase a differentiated school drama unlike "The Pyramid Game." The drama is expected to leave a deep impression on viewers with its complex human relationships and growth narrative within a hierarchical society.
