In this video, I tear down a 4.3L LV3 Gen5 V6 from a 2014 and newer Silverado or Sierra. This engine is basically 3/4's of a Gen5 5.3 sharing most of the architecture. This engine did not appear to be overly abused but could have been a higher mileage engine. Its unfortunate that the failure point was a problem that plagues this and the previous generation of engines. I hope you enjoyed this teardown.
