Unscrew the screws holding the disc drive 4. Remove the top cover 5. Remove the metal plate 6. Unplug the disc drive 7. Remove the disc drive 8. Remove the disc drive from the caddy 9. Unscrew the bottom plate on the disc drive 10. Swap the daughterboard from the original disc drive into the new disc drive 11. Put the disc drive back together 12. Put the unit back together 13.
