This video tells the story of the FGR.2s in RAF service, in their deployment to Port Stanley airstrip, then on to RAF Mount Pleasant. At first, conditions were horrible for both aircraft and aircrew, made worse by the extremley short runway, which pilots had to treat like a carrier deck, using arrestor gear. These Phantoms were eventually replaced in 1988 by Tornado F.3s, with the FGR's deployment coming to an end, with only 2 losses and a write off.
