In 2003, she won the State Award for the best playback singer for the movie Enthee Nee Kanna. She has also travelled with Sri Sri Ravishankar ji, her spiritual master, for concerts in India and abroad. She has shared the stage with Shankar Mahadevan, S Janaki Hariharan, and recordings with eminent classical singers like Pandit Jasraj and Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia.
