A quick talk about the actual day to to day life with phase locking drones. This is the culmination of a lot of effort and trial and error over the years. Not all the earlier sets of pipes can do this sort of phase locking. The double switch sets seem to work best, as the two banks of drones are separate, but the regular sets have it as well. **One thing I neglected to mention is that if the drones are only a tiny bit out of tune with the chanter, just moving one drone will be all that's needed. Also, I didn't emphasize enough that the drones will work best and most stably if the drones are positioned optimally on the pin in relation to each other. If the drones act strangely or not stably then they may just be barely pulling each other into tune.
