This week I set off cruising my Narrowboat The Rum Wench, Leaving Northwich hand hoping to complete the end of the River Weaver Navigation. However, my cruising comes to an unexpected halt as Vale Royal Lock is closed for maintenance and it could be a couple of weeks due to waiting for a part from overseas.
