The original and best! - From Orbitalzone's own collection - BSB ceased transmissions some time after merging with Sky, they continued to use BSB's own satellites (Marcopolo 1 and 2) and on the final day they put up a message stating that services had ceased. This video clip was recorded from a Ferguson SRB1 BSB Dmac receiver, most of the menu options had stopped working at this point but nonetheless this shows the final stages of DMAC in the UK. DMAC offered superior sound and picture reception on a tiny 35cm dish or 41cm flat plate squarial, DMAC offered 40bit DES encryption (considered unbreakable as it was millitary spec at the time) along with widescreen anamorphic capable transmissions with multi channel sound and receivers had RGB output. It was some years later before Sky's digital service could beat this in sound and picture quality.
