Because using a power saw leaves a door splintered. Using this saw guide stops your circular saw blade tearing at the grains of your door leaving a smooth straight finish. This video shows you how to easily build a saw guide, so you can clamp and cut, this door cutting guide or panel cutting jig makes it easy to cut exactly on your measurements like a tracksaw.
