Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - Classic Mode - Donkey Kong

Read description first Doing DK's Classic Mode run. "Aww, that's so sweet. He beats Diddy first and then both go on a trip to the city," Palutena said. "Don't think I didn't see what you did there," Chris said. "I didn't see anything," DK said. Chris buried his face in his hands. "I always wanted to go to New Donk City! It's like it's inviting me to come!" "You sure that's a good idea?" Palutena asked. "Didn't you sort of kidnap the mayor?" "That was Cranky Kong," Chris pointed out. "DK didn't have anything to do with that, except for the whole DK Jr. thing." Palutena groaned. "Let's not get into that confusing debacle in here. Point is, DK better be ready for the tranquilizing guns at the city," she said. "It's fiiiiiiine. Me and Pauline are on good terms," DK said. "You sure about that? I heard from Mario you randomly go crazy when things don't go your way. I'm worried about you tearing the mayor in two pieces if she fails to give you a slice of cake." DK gasped. "I'm offended! I'll never do something so gritty like that! Don't you have confidence in me?" "I played the Minis games. You can't fool me!" Palutena said. DK sweated bullets. "O-okay, so I SORT OF get carried away sometimes." "Don't you mean carry Pauline off to your lair of evil?" "NO! I don't have a lair of evil!" He shrugged. "Oh, great. Now I'm having second thoughts of going there..." "I'm just saying," Palutena said with a smile. "Why not just go over there and kidnap Pauline to get it over with?" DK thought for a moment. It wasn't a good thought. "Hmm, yeah, may as well..." He chuckled and left the scene in a hurry before he could be stopped. Chris's mouth had a gap in it as he looked bewildered at Palutena. "Did you seriously just trick DK into kidnapping Pauline out of fear of messing it up being there himself?" he asked. "It's not my fault that's an accident waiting to happen! I simply gave DK motivation to repeat history," Palutena scoffed. "Besides, what's the worst that could happen?" "...Besides the whole 'Local Mayor Abducted by Gorilla. Gorilla Swiftly Put Down by Authorities' headline on the city's newspaper? Pauline's a mayor there! People care for her more!" Palutena pinched her chin in deep thought. "...Oh, crud." Key Notes: Classic Mode Overview (repeated in every other character video) - Unlike before, you will never start your difficulty at the maximum difficulty (9.9). The limit you can start is at 5.0. - However, depending on how well you do in every fight, the difficulty will steadily increase. The factors that contribute an increase are if you... 1) ...finished the fight as quickly as possible. 2) ...didn't stay put or mess around. 3) ...actually managed to avoid damage altogether (meaning a perfect run, which doesn't really guarantee an extra point). - At best, you can get a whole point added to difficulty. At worst, you get nothing. "Nice Plays" may just be compliments that usually are around 0.8 additions. Do your best to get to the end of the mural. - And there is no shame using Tickets to keep going. Either you use them to get a new life and avoid losing difficulty score, or to get more rewards in a run. - Oh, and you only get ONE life. Lose it, and you'll either spend money to continue while losing difficulty, use a Ticket without the drawback, or simply give up. - Classic Mode runs for every character aren't the same anymore. Instead of random setups, every character has a set path revolving around a theme. No differences will be made if you retry the same route. - Moreover, the final boss may or may not be unique to every fighter. It may be Master Hand and/or Crazy Hand, but it can be someone else. DK's Final Boss - It's either Master Hand alone or both him and Crazy Hand. Luckily, you have Diddy assisting, but don't let him do all the work. - Since this is probably your first fight against the hands, they now have a lot more of moves at their disposal (which is not crazy to say they are even stronger than previous times). - To remedy the above, though, you can sometimes stun them after dealing enough damage, letting you deal even more damage while they're down. Unfortunately, you'll deal with the other hand if one is still standing, so be on your toes... "Why does he unlock BOWSER and not King K. Rool?" Palutena asked. "What is wrong with you people?!" "...A nod to the Subspace Emissary?" Chris asnwered. "Oh, that is so Brawl era, Chris, and that era teased me for not being playable. Don't you dare mention that around me." "Dear goodness, let that go already..." Watch, enjoy, and comment, everyone.
