Though the differences may be few, when the embassy requires you to submit a sponsorship letter, by any means, do not submit an invitation letter instead. If you do not know the difference between both, the following paragraphs will shortly explain and help you to differentiate them from each other. SPONSOR- Sponsorship letter ---A person that is willing to pay for all your expenses during your trip. Also, a sponsor does not necessarily have to live in one of the Schengen countries or accompany the traveler on their trip. This can be a person who lives in i.e. the US, Canada, UK and wishes to sponsor the trip of the visa applicant to Schengen Countries. Or someone who lives in the Philippines with you but will not join your trip to Europe. For the letter to be valid, it must be attached to documents that prove the availability of the funds and the identity of the sponsor. *Scanned copy of the Passport. * In case of a non-formalized relationship with your sponsor (Friend, boyfriend/girlfriend/fiancé(e) – a photocopy of the biodata page of the passport and travel history of the sponsor (Showing all entry stamps). *Resident ID copy (if is not from any Schengen country NO NEED FOR THIS) *Proof of financial funds-- bank statements or work contract and last 3 to 6 months payslips. *Original Affidavit of Support or Formal Obligation, legalized by the municipality where the sponsor is registered. *(if they will provide free accommodation to you)- Proof of home / flat ownership or rental contract that shows the address *Proof of Relationship- Birth/Marriage Certificate, Pictures together, and a screenshot of chat and video conversations. -- There are times that the embassy request for a specific form of documents for the sponsorship, so make sure to check the requirement checklist to see kung anong form yung nirerequest nila. Please note that having a Sponsor DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN APPROVE VISA...having a sponsor is not required, you only need to have this if you cannot support all your travel expenses. ---- INVITEE-Invitation Letter-- is written by a person living in Schengen, who invites the applicant to stay over at their home in one of the Schengen countries. They do not have to pay the expenses of the applicant, accompany them on their visits, or do anything else, aside from offering them a place to stay. The letter should contain identity details on the host and the guest, name, and surname, date of birth, occupation as well as information on their relationship. Documents should be submitted in support of statements given in the invitation letter. *Scanned copy of the Passport. *Resident ID copy *Proof of home / flat ownership or rental contract that shows the address (if they will provide free accommodation to you) * In case of a non-formalized relationship like (Friend, boyfriend/girlfriend/fiancé(e) – a photocopy of the biodata page of the passport and travel history of the inviting person (Showing all entry stamps). *Proof of Relationship- Birth/Marriage Certificate, Pictures together, and a screenshot of chat and video conversations. --some embassy have their own INVITATION FORM which your invitee need to fill out and send it to you.. make sure to double-check that in the requirement checklist. -- What if the Inviting person will be the sponsor too? ---Sponsorship letter ang need nya i provide and make sure na nakaindicate sa letter na iniivite ka nya na mag punta sa country nya and make sure that he will also mention that he/she is going to pay for all your travel expenses. He/she need to say kung ano ung mga gagastusan nya sayo and in what way. Make sure that he has all the supporting documents required, yung mga na mention ko above. ---What IF MAGKAIBA ANG SPONSOR MO AT NAGIINVITE SAYO? Then you need 2 different letters from your sponsor and from the inviting person, ..and supporting documents from both parties is important makuha nya ---- If you need help with the format of the letters, check out my previous video:    • Schengen SPONSORSHIP and INVITATION L...   ------------
