Dragon Age Inquisition - Class Build - Lightning Rift Mage Guide!

This guide focuses on how to build your class using a combination of standard skills from the Storm, Winter skill trees, and new active and passives from the Rift specialization. With about 15-20 points to place, you can put together a very powerful Rift that has everything it needs to dominate on the battlefield. Storm Chain Lightning / Arcing Surge (Skill upgrade) / Energy Barrage / After that, take whatever path you want to get to Static Cage and it's upgrade, Lightning Cage In Winter, take Fade Step and Winter Stillness In Rift, I take everything here, including upgrades. The passives here benefit from weakness, so upgrading our skills gives us a lot of uptime on Weakened enemies. Opening combo for aoe, I Pull of the Abyss, Static Cage, and then Chain Lightning. Pull of the Abyss wears off fairly soon so Veilstrike is next to keep enemies weakened. While Static Cage is still up, I might as well throw an Energy Barrage and destroy any single targets. Stonefist to knockdown and/or reapply weakness to any remaining enemies. For AI settings, Pull of the Abyss, Static Cage, and Veilstrike on Preferred. Also set Behavior to Follow self.
