2023年12月30日深夜、ライブ終了後の帰宅途中に突然この世を去った愛すべき仲間、ロジャー・アームストロング。享年61歳。死因はオートバイによる交通事故であった。 バブルの風が吹き荒れる1980年代後期の日本。世界では様々な変動があった。東西ドイツの壁撤去、昭和天皇崩御、天安門事件。同じ様に東京の片隅でも。89年12月、横浜・町田で活動したSxIxCの解散。その活動の中心を支えたのはドラムの彼だった。 疾風の如く現れ、東京ハードコアシーンに多大なるインパクトを残した彼の功績を讃えると同時に、彼が愛した「自由」を共に共有する。 彼の遺品から発掘されたNIPPON RENTOGEN原版、未発表映像や音源を再構築し販売。実費を除いた売上は全て遺族であるHIROMIさんに渡し、交通事故の後処理などに活用する。 In the late hours of December 30, 2023, we tragically lost our beloved friend, Roger Armstrong, on his way home after a live performance. He was 61 years old, and the cause of death was a motorcycle accident. In the late 1980s, when the bubble economy swept through Japan, the world saw significant changes: the fall of the Berlin Wall, the death of Emperor HIROHITO, and the Tiananmen Square incident. Similarly, in a corner of Tokyo, there were changes too. In December 1989, SxIxC disbanded after their active years in Yokohama and Machida. At the heart of their activities was Roger, the drummer. Like a whirlwind, he appeared and left a tremendous impact on the Tokyo hardcore scene. We honor his achievements and share the "freedom" he cherished. From his belongings, we discovered the original master of NIPPON RENTOGEN, along with unreleased footage and audio.
