Pyramus and Thisbe are in love madly, and live next to each other in houses. However, their parents forbid their relationship, so they build a wall between the rooms. The lovers find a chink in the wall they talk through and they kiss each other. One evening they plan to run away together, meeting at Ninus' Tomb. Pyramus first appears, and she sees a scary tiger with blood on her lips. She runs away in panic, her cloak falling. The tiger throws up and bloodies the mask. When Thisbe arrives he sees the cloak, assumes that his lover has died, and in sorrow kills himself. Pyramus comes back, sees the body of Thisbe, and she kills herself with the same knife.
