Adam McHummus, Jefftastic's composer, came to Clowfoe and proposed the official release of a "fake leaked version" with the Mario content suddenly replaced with Among Us instead. Another developer named _emi had supposedly already been making sprites for an Among Us crewmate, so the idea was quickly in motion. After a week, the mod was after seven days completed and released to the public to moderate success.
