Ride with us as we leave Longstreet, Louisiana, and head to Keachi on LA 5 North. We will encounter quite a bit of road work on this drive, which will put us into the slow travel mode. Two lanes will become one lane for a while as we pass by workers patching Louisiana Route 5. We will see quite a few fields and the road will sometimes be lined with trees on both sides – occasionally we will spot a glimpse of the railroad tracks to the right of the road. As we come closer to Keachi, there will be more houses and a city water tower beside the road. Keachi is small town in DeSoto Parish with a population of around 300 residents.
